Eversolo just launched one of the most exciting products, the Eversolo Play. It is an all-in-one streaming amplifier, and it eliminates the need for a separate DAC, amplifier, or streamer. Eversolo is the registered trademark of Eversolo Audio. The core founding team members have engaged in the development and management of the HiFi industry for many years. The R&D team covers audio decoding, analog audio, acoustic tuning, amplifiers, system integration, user experience, and so on.
Before this, if you wanted to get Eversolo gear for your speaker systems, you had to get a streamer and amplifier separately. Their flagship amplifier, the Eversolo AMP-F10, and their flagship streamer, the DMP-A10, used to be part of my reference speaker system. Now, you can just get the Eversolo Play, which combines a Class D amplifier with excellent streaming technology.
Eversolo Play Streaming Amplifier Review
Price
You can use the Eversolo Play in place of a DAC, a streamer, and an amplifier. You can use it with your TV, with your turntable, and as a CD player. It gives you an easy, plug-and-play solution. If you get all these items separately, they will cost you way more than this all-in-one solution. The Eversolo Play comes in two editions: the Standard Edition retails for US$699, and the CD edition retails for US$799.
Design And Features
Just like the DMP-A10 and the AMP-F10, the Eversolo Play has a sleek, modern design. The entire base is a heatsink, which helps the unit keep cool during listening sessions. On the front panel, there is a 5.5-inch touchscreen from which you can change the functions, settings, open apps, display album art, and view meters. There is a volume knob on the left side of the panel which has an illuminated ring around it, and the front panel is finished with brushed Aluminum.
On the back panel, there are HDMI ARC and eARC ports to connect your TV. The Eversolo Play also has a built-in phono stage that supports both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges, so that you can connect your turntable. There is a coaxial input and an optical input, a subwoofer output with bass management, which allows for better integration with your speaker system and better bass performance. There is an Ethernet port for WiFi, and two USB-A ports for connecting external storage devices or a DAC.
The Class D amplifier in the Eversolo Play delivers 60 watts of power at 8 ohms and 110 watts at 4 ohms. This is enough to drive bookshelf speakers and other smaller speakers, but you may face power issues if you have large, floorstanding speakers.
The Eversolo Play supports high-res lossless audio playback with Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music, Deezer, TuneIn Radio, KKBOX, Presto Music, and more. It supports Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connext, and it is Roon Ready.
The Eversolo Play does all its processing with an AK4493SEQ DAC chip, leveraging VELVETSOUND™ technology to dramatically lower harmonic distortion and noise during signal processing. The streaming amplifier supports a wide range of audio formats, including DSD, PCM, FLAC, APE, and WAV, with compatibility up to DSD512 and PCM 768kHz/32-bit.
The Eversolo Play can deliver robust LAN and cloud storage compatibility, enabling seamless access to home computers and local NAS via LAN while supporting protocols like UPnP and WebDAV. You can build an all-new curated local music library and instantly access it over LAN with this feature.
A PFC + LLC power supply configuration minimizes energy waste and reduces thermal loss. The power supply incorporates NTC thermistors for temperature monitoring and overheating protection, suppressing current to safeguard the amplifier section.

Eversolo Control App
You can use the Eversolo Play streaming amplifier with the Eversolo Control app, which got a brand new update with the launch of this product. It supports iOS, Android, and iPad devices, and it has multi-device capability.
You can adjust playback controls, change the settings, and do so much more in the Eversolo Control app. It has a “Listen at Will” feature that can automatically play randomly recommended tracks from both logged-in music services and your local music library.
You can enable acoustic room correction via an external measurement microphone or smartphone microphone, automatically detecting large living rooms and compact bedrooms. The Eversolo Play will then optimize the sound for your room, giving you the best sound based on your room’s measurements.
The app has built-in 15-band graphic EQ and 10-band parametric EQ, supporting independent left/right channel adjustment. It also has 23 genre presets (including EDM, blues, classical, and jazz).
You can switch between different music streaming platforms in the app and make a library that comprises tracks for multiple platforms. The app has support for local storage and multiple network protocols (NAS, UPnP, WebDAV, NetDisk, etc.). You can also map the screen of the Eversolo Play to your phone or tablet, and control the playback wirelessly.
Sound Quality
The Eversolo Play streaming amplifier has the natural, warm sound that Eversolo products are known for. Instruments had impact and presence, and the bass was deep and well-controlled. The soundstage was detailed, and each instrument was separated perfectly, and overall, the sound was smooth and natural.
Verdict
The Eversolo Play all-in-one streaming amplifier is another success for Eversolo. For the low price of $699, it packs a punch and has endless compatibility. The app is well built, and the device can act as the central music hub for your speaker system. The sound is great for this price, and if you’re looking for a compact all-in-one music solution, then the Eversolo Play is for you.
