Eversolo is a newcomer in the music market, and for the past few years, they have been catching up with the leading companies. A few days ago, they launched their new power amplifier, the Eversolo AMP-F10, which takes things to the next level. The AMP-F10 was designed to complement Eversolo’s new A10 music streamer, which has already gained much popularity amongst audiophiles. Eversolo has released an amplifier previously, but it was in collaboration with another company and many people preferred other amplifiers. The AMP-F10 has a much more premium feel, and Eversolo developed it themselves.
Review
The Eversolo AMP-F10 is a two-channel, Class A/B amplifier that offers 200 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 320 watts per channel at 4 ohms. The sleek black finish matches the A10 streamer, with heatsink fans on the side and the Eversolo logo and power button on the front panel. Instead of a screen, the AMP-F10 has two real-view meters for the wattage of the two channels.
At the back, the Eversolo AMP-F10 has left and right speaker outputs. A switch for standby mode, and trigger in and outs. The standby mode switch allows you to set the amplifier to wake up via trigger or manually by turning it on yourself. Another switch allows you to set the sensitivity to 23DB or 29DB. There is also a switch that toggles between Stereo Mode (if you use the AMP-F10 on its own) and Bridge Mode (if you use multiple units of the AMP-F10). You have balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, and a switch to indicate which input you’re using.
In bridge mode, you can use two Eversolo AMP-F10s and get up to 650 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 900 watts per channel at 4 ohms. Even if you’re using only one unit (like most of us), you will have more than enough power to drive your speakers.
This amplifier is a Class A/B amplifier, and it runs at Class A at low power and switches into Class A/B at higher power. Inside, it has a 1000-watt toroidal transformer power supply, which makes it quite heavy. Since the channels are separated, there is less interference between the two channels and each channel gets its own dedicated current. The Eversolo AMP-F10 also has 5 pairs of high-current MOSFETs per channel, which ensure even current distribution and minimize distortion.
There is a DC filtering circuit between the main AC supply and the audio circuit to remove any low-frequency DC interference. This helps ensure clean AC power is delivered to the audio circuits for better performance. If you don’t understand the specs above, don’t worry. You just need to know that Eversolo put in a lot of hard work and planning to make this new amplifier.
For testing, I paired the Eversolo AMP-F10 with the Bowers & Wilkin 705 S3 Signature speakers. This amplifier has a very detailed sound, it placed each instrument and voice perfectly in the soundstage that it delivered. It doesn’t produce the warm and natural sound that more expensive amplifiers would, but it looks like Eversolo did this on purpose. To get the best performance out of this, I recommend pairing it up with a streamer, but it works fine independently.
Verdict
If you are looking for an amplifier that will give you extremely detailed sound, then the Eversolo AMP-F10 is a good choice. It is a great amplifier for a two-channel system, and you can even add another amplifier to improve performance and get more power. However, there are some products from other brands like Marantz, that match the AMP-F10 in price but have some extra features. Like always, you should research and compare specs to get the best product that suits your needs.
