Wireless speakers can easily replace wired speakers in your home systems. With that, they are also portable and can be moved easily. As 2024 comes to an end, I have made a list of my favorite wireless speakers. Some of these are older models, but they still pack a punch and compete with the latest products.
Marantz Horizon – Best Wireless Speaker Overall
The Marantz Horizon is a testament to the beautiful craftsmanship of Marantz engineers. The shape looks like the classic Marantz window port design, and it comes in three finishes, Midnight Sky, Moon Ray, and Marantz Champagne, all of which look extremely luxurious. The fabric wraps all over the speaker, and the nice marble base matches the colors of the fabric.
The wireless speaker has a built-in sensor that detects when you’re coming near to it and turns on the speaker. It has 100 hidden LEDs in a circle around the speaker, and you can control the volume by touching your finger on the circle. The drivers are arranged perfectly inside the speaker to give the best performance possible. The built-in Mirage DSP will automatically tune your speaker to give you the best sound in your room.
You can use the HEOS app with the Marantz Horizon, and this is the best app that one can have. The home screen has everything related to music, your playlists, recently played tracks, and more content from your music services.
The Marantz Horizon can fill a decent-sized room with incredible sound. You can test different placements, and then use the DSP in the app to tune the speaker to that placement. You will be surprised at how this small speaker produces so much sound with so much detail and clarity. You can connect two Horizons and place them on either side of your room or TV, and you can play music from the HEOS app even if you’re in a different room.

Sony BRAVIA HT-A9M2 – Best Wireless Speakers For Home Theatres
The Sony BRAVIA HT-A9M2 wireless speakers have a rectangular shape, and instead of a grille, they are wrapped in a beautiful grey fabric. This new design allows your system to blend in with the environment better, and the speakers can even be put on a table stand or be wall mounted. Similar to its predecessor, this system does not come with a wireless subwoofer, but it is optional and you can connect an extra Sony subwoofer to it.
The Sony HT-A9M2 includes 4 three-way speakers. All of these speakers have a 3 ⅜ woofer, a 2 ⅜ mid-range driver, an upwards firing 3 ⅛ Atmos driver on the top, and a 3/4 inch tweeter. The speakers are a good premium option and soundfield mapping is top notch. You can simply place the speakers where they are best for you and they will work perfectly. The soundstage is amazing and it has very good bass, and you won’t feel the need to add an extra subwoofer. You can be completely transported into movies thanks to the sound mapping technology, and it is surprising that all this sound comes from such small speakers.
The Sony HT-A9M2 also comes with a support box. This supports Dolby Vision, 8K HDR, 4K 120, 360 reality audio, and Hi-Res Audio. It also supports VRR, ALLM, and SBTM when you’re gaming. You can connect wirelessly with Bluetooth, Spotify Connect, and Apple Airplay.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin – Best Premium Wireless Speaker
The design of the B&W Zeppelin is very unique. It’s available in two finishes, Pearl Grey and Midnight Grey, they both look good with the Aluminum stand that slightly tilts it up to fill spaces with sound better. There is a small light under the Zepellin that creates the illusion that the speaker is floating.
B&W used very similar drivers from their stereo speakers in the Zeppelin. There is a 6-inch driver in the center that acts as a subwoofer. There are also two other drivers for the left and right channels. The tweeter is double-domed, and the drivers use B&W’s fixed suspension transducer(FST) technology that is also in their floor-standing speakers. The drivers are powered by 5 amps which were designed to perfectly work with them.
The B&W music app is easy to use, it is available on both Android and iOS, and you can link your Deezer, Qobuz, and Tidal memberships to the app. Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Pandora are also available, and you can use Amazon’s Alexa, Spotify Connect, and Apple Airplay with the B&W Zeppelin as well.
The B&W Zeppelin produces room-filling sound, the high frequencies stay very clear and the sound and bass are mostly consistent. It has no fake boost to the treble which is appreciated and makes the sound more rich with a wider soundstage.
